Poster Guidelines
Remember, the audience members have a general technical background. The poster is to be prepared so that it can be easily understood in the absence of the author. It is the author's responsibility to obtain all requisite permission to release the information presented in the poster.
The poster board must be used for all presentation material (print outs, pictures, etc)
Poster size is 36" high and 48" wide
Minimum requirements:
Title of Poster
Author and Department
Abstract, and Approach of Work
Innovation and Relevance
Results and Conclusions
Poster Organization:
Prepare a title for the top of your poster, including author. Letters should be at least one inch high. Arrange materials in columns rather than rows. Logically consistent sections may be grouped on background of the same color. An introduction should be placed on the upper left and conclusion(s) on the lower right, both in large letters.
Illustrations:
Keep in mind that the poster will be viewed from a distance. Each illustration must be identified. This information replaces the commentary that would ordinarily constitute the body of a manuscript, but in abbreviated form. It should describe the content of the illustration and the conclusions to be drawn from it.
