Ashish Borgaonkar is a PhD student in the department of civil and environmental engineering. He has plenty of experience with student organization, college and university level committees, organizing (and participating) trips, seminars, academic and cultural events - pretty much everything needed to be a qualified e-board member.
In past he has served on student council of his undergraduate college, vice president of Indian Graduate Student Association at SUNY, Stony Brook. At NJIT, Ashish has served as CEE department representative to GSA during 2008-09, student ambassador at international student orientation, has worked as driver coordinator for international student airport pick up, has worked on research showcase, GSA awards committee and has organized many events, workshops, and seminars at department and university level.
Ashish has maintained a perfect balance between his academic and social activities. As vice president - administration of GSA, he strives to create more opportunities for graduate students to enhance their academic progress and in making their lives at NJIT interesting, memorable, and worthwhile.
