Ashumeet Singh Samra, the ambitious student from India, is an MS student in the department of Computer Science. He has a passion to serve the student community. The first thing he wanted to do when he arrived in the college was, to ask how he can contribute!! Given his love for both technology and for service.
He grew up in an environment where day in and day out, he would see automobiles being repaired around him. So he naturally picked up the basics from there- the instinct of an engineer. He completed his engineering in the field of Electronics and Instrumentation from India in 2007.
He started working in India, and his colleagues complained he would not leave his laptop. He would just continue to research, update softwares, give a tip or two that would make a huge difference. And then to complete his masters in a field he loved most, he came here.
He worked with an NGO in India for 4 years where he worked with street kids, providing them food and education. He is passionate about music, loves his guitar. Simply put, being around him is fun and meaningful.
Ashumeet will surely be a huge asset to the college, not just for now, but in setting new trends that last long.
